  • St. Paul of the Cross Monastery 148 Monastery Avenue Pittsburgh, PA, 15203 United States (map)

Celebrate St. Gemma Galgani at Southside Reconnect and Learn to Pray.

Father Justin Kerber, c.p. will be walking us through how St. Gemma prayed. Known for her meditation on the Passion and of Christ’s sufferings on Holy Thursday in the Garden of Gethsemane. Praying how St. Gemma prayed means feeling the heart of Christ.

Father will give a short talk on the life and legacy of beloved mystic and daughter of Passion, St. Gemma Galgani. St. Gemma’s life, miracles, and intercessions continue to inspire thousands around the world.

There will be praise and worship to follow. Take the opportunity to visit the only shrine to St. Gemma Galgani which is here in St. Paul of the Cross Monastery.

Celebrate St. Gemma's Feast Day

St. Gemma is a model for lay people who want to pray, who want to turn to God, for help and consolation in their worried lives - plagued by financial insecurity, broken homes, and emptiness - caused by the death of loved ones, the rejection felt by some handicap, and the frustration of the willing who are unable - in a society where the able are unwilling.
